System Doctor

Called in to a small manufacturing company, which was in major trouble following a very poor ERP system implementation. Red Technologies had seen several similar situations and was able to set up a very clear process to reimplement and stabilise the new system immediately. An initial survey of all users and the supplier’s consultants led to the definition of 245 issues to be solved. Red Technologies assumed the project management role and within three months had completely stabilised the system, re-trained the users and kept the business running throughout a most difficult and stressful period.  The supplier of the system and the client had been organised into a cohesive team (for the first time) during this recovery process, a communications strategy had been implemented and all stakeholders – including senior members of the client’s Group management – had been involved throughout. In three months, the business was transformed into a viable and successful unit running on its new ERP software.

Interim Manager of corporate project management department

Prior to appointment carried out a full performance review of the corporate Project Management  Department which was responsible for the control of all project management and governance within the business. 23 staff including 14 project and programme managers and central PMO.

Was invited to run the department (15 months) during which time several discreet projects were identified and followed through. Several projects were successfully completed and additional projects started during this period, ranging from commercial front end web trading systems to document management solutions.

In addition, major results were achieved in a very difficult silo based organisation by the introduction of improved governance regimes including benefits and risk management procedures. Southampton
